In January 2026 the Minister of Justice issued a decision regulating off-plan property sales in Qatar. Developments sold off plan now come under the oversight of the Real Estate Registration Department.
For buyers and investors this is good news. It adds a layer of protection to one of the fastest growing corners of the market, especially in Lusail where much of the new supply is sold before completion.
